I have developed a great passion for decorating animal skulls and now have a wide collection available for commisioned work, such as lion, cheetah, giraffe, warthog and baboon skulls, to name a few. 

These animals have all died a natural death and their skulls were found in nature. I honour their lives with my art so they may live on and be appreciated.

Similarity in the decoration style can be created on request, but all the skulls are unique.

SCULPTED SKULLS

Shapes are enhanced and built onto the skull with sculpting clay, hand painted and sealed with a clear matt varnish.

SEASHELL, GEMSTONE AND BEADED MOSAIC SKULLS

The shells, gemstones and beads are carefully selected to create the patterns as well as fit onto the natural curves of the skull. The mosaic is set in a thin layer of sculpting clay, which softens the skull’s appearance while still keeping its original defined shape. Earthy colors in the sculpting clay is created with colour stain and finished off with a clear matt varnish.
